All administrators employed in Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology or Institutes of Technology and Advanced Learning are eligible to join OCASA, including part-time, contract and full-time administrative staff. There is NO minimum length of service for membership. College presidents are not eligible to join OCASA.

Advocacy

OCASA has representation on:

  • CAAT Pension Plan Board of Trustees
  • CAAT Pension Plan Sponsors’ Committee
  • Insured Benefits Sub-Committee
  • Administrative Consultative Committee (members include The Council, Colleges Ontario, Committee of Presidents, HRCC and OCASA)

OCASA submits position papers to:

  • The College Compensation and Appointments Council and its committees
  • Committee of Presidents
  • Colleges Ontario
  • Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
  • Ministry of Finance

How to Join

2010 Annual Fee: $265 (pro-rated through the year)

Fees may be paid directly to the OCASA office or through payroll deduction. Fees are tax deductible and a tax receipt will be issued either by the college or by OCASA (depends on prior arrangements).
