Areas of interest/expertise: Sara has an extensive background in academic administration within Ontario’s post-secondary education system, showcasing a dynamic career across a range of leadership roles. She has successfully overseen diploma and degree programs, academic advising, university-college partnerships, health sciences continuing education, corporate training, and simulation-based education. With expertise in managing academic programs and services, Sara has excelled at fostering partnerships, collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders, and teaching courses such as instructional design within the Ontario College system.
Sara’s accomplishments include spearheading the development of new academic programs, leading multidisciplinary faculty and support teams, and managing comprehensive student advising services. Her innovative contributions earned her the Georgian College Board of Governors Employee Entrepreneurial Award in 2015.
Educationally, Sara has attained credentials from Sheridan College and the University of Waterloo, earned a master’s degree in education from Athabasca University in 2014, and most recently, completed a Doctorate in Education from the University of Western Ontario in 2024.
Personal Interests/extra-curricular activities: Restoring furniture, fashion, decorating, vegetable gardening, spending time with her children, husband and their miniature dachshund Louie.
