Evan Sonkin

Evan has been an OCASA member for over 12 years and is Northern College’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Services.

Evan has over 15 years of managerial experience in Canadian education. After 3 years as a business manager within the K-12 sector, Evan joined Loyalist College in 2013 as Academic Manager within the School of Business. Evan became the College’s Manager of Financial Analysis & Budgets in 2014 and over the past decade has held roles of increasing responsibility within Finance. In his previous position as Loyalist College’s Senior Director, Finance, Evan oversaw the the College’s financial operations, reporting, planning, and risk management functions. He joined Northern College in February of 2026.

Holding a CRM (Canadian Risk Management) Designation, Evan serves as Treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Ontario Colleges Risk Management & Insurance Association.

Evan holds a BA from McGill University and an MBA from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
